About the book
What is AstroChess about?
AstroChess profiles how each of the twelve signs plays chess: the habits they bring, the pieces they favor and fear, their typical chess life, and how to play against them. It then breaks each sign down across all twelve Sun and Ascendant combinations.
Does the book claim your star sign determines your chess moves?
The book is about observable patterns at the board. It came out of analyzing past games on ChessCube and other platforms, looking for patterns in piece preference and method of play. The practical aim is to help a reader recognize an opponent’s tendencies and develop their own dormant pieces.
How many readings are in the book?
Twelve sign profiles, each broken down across twelve Sun and Ascendant combinations, for one hundred forty four readings in total. The sign pages on this site cover the twelve general profiles. The Sun and Ascendant breakdowns are in the book only.
Do I need to know chess to read it?
No. The chess is explained as it comes up, and the personalities carry the story.
What do chess life, postal, straight, and gimmick chess mean?
Those four terms run through every chapter. They are defined on the page about the idea behind the book.
