About the author
Charell Williams is a chess educator, technologist, and digital artist. He is the founder of TechSavvy Solutions, a minority owned web design and digital strategy firm, and the founder and president of Young Minds Chess Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that brings chess, coding, and emerging technology to young people.
He coaches youth chess on weekends and has shown digital artwork in Seattle and internationally in New Zealand. AstroChess grew out of years of watching how differently two students can play the exact same position.
The pawn is underestimated, patient, and humble, and it is the only piece on the board that can become something else entirely.
